Arnold Valdivia, MD

Dr. Valdivia is a Family Medicine physician who grew up in Grants and has been practicing medicine here for over 34 years. He is an invaluable member of our community who takes pride in delivering personal care to his patients. Dr. Valdivia’s decision to pursue medicine as a career was inspired by his father, who was also a beloved community physician. After medical school at UNM and Residency training in Texas, Dr. Valdivia came back to his hometown to join his father in private practice and give back to our community by providing quality comprehensive healthcare services to give every patient he sees the opportunity to achieve optimal health outcomes. Dr. Valdivia’s reward for his dedication to healthcare is the joy that is experienced when a little patient hugs him in a store and says, “That’s my doctor”. In his leisure time, he enjoys travel and outdoor activities, including mountain biking and golfing. He is also an avid Pirates, Lobos, and Duke Fan.
