Maggie Edmiston, DNP, PMHNP
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Maggie is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who was consistently drawn to specialize in mental health nursing while in nursing school, a decision that was validated by her years of experience working in a major inpatient psychiatric hospital in Wyoming. From an early age, Maggie has been intrigued by the intricacies of the human mind and body, which led her to nursing. After moving to Grants, but still working in Albuquerque, she realized the need for mental health care in our community and noticed a degree of camaraderie and true interest in patients’ well-being in the staff at CGH that she had not experienced at other facilities, and she decided to join our medical staff. For her, it is a precious gift to take part in people’s healing and to empower patients to strive for wellness: “I love making a real difference in patients’ lives.” When not at work, Maggie enjoys the great outdoors. She is an avid trail and ultra-marathon runner, mountain biker, and skier.
