Dr. Snow Petersen is a General Surgeon who is dedicated to helping people, which for her there is nothing better. As a child, Dr. Petersen was fascinated by the science of the human body, and later as a professional snowboarder, she discovered her natural instincts as a leader and a healer when those around her suffered from injuries and illnesses. These qualities drew her to a career in general surgery, which allows her to use her pursuit of medical knowledge and her athleticism to heal others. As a general surgeon in rural New Mexico, Dr. Petersen is “living a dream” working in a medical community that treats patients as one should treat yourself or your loved ones. When not working, she and her husband love being outdoors, hiking, and exploring New Mexico, as well as cooking at home and trying out new recipes.

Dorcas Yates is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner and Wound Care Specialist with almost 50 years in nursing. Her decision to pursue nursing as a profession was made early in her life, when she attended her aunt’s nursing graduation and decided that is what she wanted to do. Dedicated, passionate, and deeply committed to her work, Dorcas is well known for providing exceptional patient care and helping individuals recover from their injuries and illnesses, which is most rewarding for her. Dorcas is an indispensable part of our team, balancing her busy schedule between her hospital work and her outpatient clinic responsibilities, always striving to deliver the highest standard of care in both settings. In what little downtime there is, she enjoys leisurely activities such as reading and crochet, but she also continues to demonstrate her dedication by training others in critical healthcare skills such as ACLS, PALS, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Rhythm Recognition.

Dr. Lauren McCullough is the new Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Cibola General Hospital. Born and raised in New Mexico, Dr. McCullough enthusiastically returned from a residency at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota to complete a fellowship at the University of New Mexico. She is a board certified Radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. Dr. McCullough directed outreach programs for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless and was awarded several Honors throughout her education. During her free time, she loves spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful Land of Enchantment.
